Sr. Data Analyst

About this Position:
Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for a Sr. Data Analyst to become part of Enterprise Applications team, that runs a wide array of application platforms globally. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to build both in-depth technical skills and an ability to develop outstanding client-facing skills.
The role will primarily focus on playing with application data, identifying trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets and presenting forward-looking insights and recommendations to the business.
You Will:
- Own data analytics projects and/or lead significant subsets of larger initiatives
- Work closely with business partners and leaders to define KPIs, identify critical metrics, and deliver useful insights.
- Develop and maintain creative, rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating reporting components from multiple data sources.
- Use story telling techniques to present insights and influence department activities/direction.
- Apply advanced data analytics principles to identify, analyze, interpret patterns in the data. Identify need for and develop machine learning models as needed.
- Work with the data engineers on the team, to develop efficient schemas for acquired data from primary and secondary sources.
- Ensure controls are in place to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
- Will require flexible approach to working hours to support global business operations
- Mentors and trains other staff
You Bring:
- Bachelors or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related
- 10+ years of experience with demonstrable skills with data mining, analysis and visualization
- 6+ years of experience working extensively with MySQL or Snowflake
- 4+ years of experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data analytics platforms
- Possesses proven proficiency in SQL skills and Python / R.
- Experience designing and deploying machine learning models
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including reports, and presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
