Position Overview

Diligent has executed a fast paced and transformative M&A program over the last 5+ years that has dramatically reshaped the company into the largest provider of ESG and GRC software globally. As a result of this transformative growth Diligent is investing in a Business Operations and Analytics group to partner with Executive leadership to drive strategic investments, process improvement, and growth initiatives across the company by providing best in class analytics and insights to business partners and leaders. The Senior Data Analyst role is a critical member of the broader Finance & Operations organization, which is responsible for ensuring Diligent's success across growth initiatives, performance improvement, M&A, and business reporting. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be focused on delivering critical insights to business partners on how to proactively manage to operating KPIs. and You will report to the Director of Business Analytics as a part Diligent's CFO organization, and you will engage regularly with Diligent Executive Leaders and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing reporting cadence and help streamline and standardize recurring metrics and reporting functions
• Align with business units (e.g., Sales, Marketing, HR) to understand their roles, requirements, and data to better drive business decisions through analytics
• Structure large data sets for analysis
• Deploy the analytics lifecycle, from discovery and data preparation through the operationalization of reports and dashboards, to identify insights and communicate findings with business leaders
• Work across the organization to define, standardize, and produce key reports and KPIs
• Support major strategic and operational analyses to support Diligent’s acquisition and integration efforts

Required Experience/Skills:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in data analytics (ideally at a premier consulting firm, investment bank, FAANG operations team, or private equity firm)
• Experience defining, standardizing, and producing key KPIs and reports for business leaders along with analytical insights or “so what?” recommendations to help drive business decisions and outcomes (experience working with SaaS businesses is desirable)
• Experience in: reporting & analytics, business case development, due diligence, corporate M&A, post-merger management, transformation management, or operational process improvement
• Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient in SQL (and RDBMS concepts) and Data Visualization (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Domo)
• Working knowledge of statistical programming language (e.g., R/Python)
• Ability to guide business colleagues across an organization to achieve project outcomes
• Creative and 'on your toes' thinker with an ability communicate insights effectively to senior management and staff
• Strong project management skills with ability to break apart complex tasks, delegate work, dive into the weeds when necessary, and keep things moving on track
• An appetite for ambiguous and fluid situations, a dynamic environment and travel up to 10% of the time
