About the role

As a Treasury Data Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring the funding model and assisting the funding analysts about potential issues on a day-to-day basis. You will take on projects based on requests from different stakeholders, collaboration with Funding Team’s daily work or personal initiatives through creation of reports and dashboards, automation of funding processes as well as querying and analyzing data in our data warehouse.

The role will also entail looking into opportunities to improve the funding model by expanding our database and translating business logic into technical requirements. You will thus collaborate with different parts of the business, working alongside various teams both within and outside the wider Finance team.  

What you will own:

Reporting to the Funding Team Manager, you will:

• Ensure that the funding model is working correctly and accurately by performing data quality checks and responding to Funding Team’s concerns on a daily basis
• Respond to ad-hoc requests by analyzing data using SQL in BigQuery/Databricks for different stakeholders
• Create tables, views and/or scheduled queries in BigQuery/Databricks depending on the needs of Funding Team
• Prepare reports and dashboards based on requests from different stakeholders (Funding Team, Forecasting Team, Business Development Team, etc.)
• Collaborate with funding analysts regularly for greater efficiency by streamlining their day-to-day processes through automation of manual work or creation of dashboards
• Maintain our data warehouse and ensure thorough documentation
• Work with Funding Team to identify new projects and business opportunities

What you bring to the table: 

• Strong understanding of SQL in BigQuery/Databricks
• Familiarity with at least one BI tool (like Tableau, Periscope, Power BI or Mode Analytics) and ability to prepare reports or dashboards from client requests
• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn automation and modeling is a strong plus (particularly in Python)
• Can deliver technical programmatic solutions to business problems
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively to non-technical audience
• Ability to initiate new projects for improvement of stakeholders’ day-to-day work
• Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
• A high level of attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
