Job Description

Derivco South Africa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated PMO Data Analyst Level 2 to be part of our dynamic team. Are you passionate about turning complex data into actionable insights? Accountabilities:

  • Data Analysis: Working with senior leaders and technical specialists to develop an understanding of the business problem, context, and data required to inform key tactical business decisions. Collecting, validating, and transforming data from multiple sources that span multiple processes, products, or services. Organizing, cleaning, and pre-processing data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conducting exploratory data analysis using advanced statistical techniques. Designing visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate meaningful, clear, and actionable insights to stakeholders. Presenting and communicating data findings and insights. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in data collection and analysis processes. Investigating and reporting on trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.
  • Project Performance Tracking: Responsible for tracking the performance of various projects, using data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities. This includes creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and metrics that provide insights into project performance.
  • Risk Analysis: Involved in risk analysis, using data to identify potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery. This includes utilizing predictive modeling, scenario analysis, and other data-driven risk assessment techniques.
  • Decision Support: Plays a key role in decision-making processes, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to project managers and other stakeholders. This includes conducting cost-benefit analyses, forecasting project outcomes, and providing other data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Involved in process improvement initiatives, using data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in project management processes. This includes utilizing process mapping, data modeling, and other data-driven process improvement techniques.
  • Data Governance: Responsible for data governance within a PMO, ensuring that project data is managed in a way that is consistent, reliable, and compliant with relevant regulations. This includes developing and implementing data management policies and procedures, conducting data audits, and ensuring data quality and integrity.

  • Technical Competencies: Data analysis, reporting, and insights.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Analytical thinking, communication, knowledge sharing, problem-solving and decision-making, trust and reliability (ethical behavior), commercial mindset, strategic thinking.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications & Experience: Ideally, we're looking for someone with a relevant 3-year degree or diploma with 4-6 years' experience in data analytics.
