We are currently looking for a Data Architect and Developer to join our agile team. This position will focus on the design, development, automation, scalability, and support of all database systems within Christopherson Business Travel. This is an impactful, complex, hands-on role that will is central to the future technology vision of the organization. As such, it requires a unique blend of craftsmanship, business savvy, drive and a “big picture” mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, automate, test, support and optimize new and existing databases (hands on)
  • Collaborate closely with development architects, product experts and business owners to build new applications and features
  • Collaborate with developers and IT administrators to evangelize, coordinate, and implement architectural and operational database best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • 1+ years experience building and/or maintaining highly scalable enterprise class database systems (including data layers) both on prem and in the cloud.
  • 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following architectures/tools/platforms:
    • NoSQL databases (MongoDB and/or Cosmos DB)
    • Relational databases (Both MySQL and MSSQL)
  • 1+ years experience (or equivalent coursework) background in data science (trends, insights, predictions, etc.)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fearless, innovative self-starter with a contagious “can do” attitude

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Agile environment using Atlassian products (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.)
  • Experience with VS Code, C# and .Net Core 3.x+
