The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student-Data Science & Analytics for John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:
- Locate and acquire data from existing data locations as needed to support analytics and reporting.
- Organize and clean acquired data to remove quality issues and provide relevant information which may include developing samples used to create analytics models or reports.
- Perform analysis to address data quality issues and identify automation opportunities in order to create standardized reports. Produce standard and ad hoc reports.
- Participate in creating analytics models by applying data knowledge throughout the modeling process to ensure the data is valid, accurate, and applicable for the intended usage.
This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in data and analytics; others may apply.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited college/university.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.
- Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round.
