Data Scientist Analyst

  As a Data Engineer I at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate technology team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an entry-level member of a data engineering team, you execute basic data solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of a single technical area within a business function, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

• Uses basic knowledge of the data system components to determine what controls are needed
• Analyzes complex data patterns to generate insights​​
• Verifies accuracy of analysis results​
• Creates basic visualizations dashboards from current tools, as well as supports visualization capabilities of cybersecurity tools​
• Gathers and organizes data in documents that can be easily updated, maintained, and made actionable​​
• Works with data science to develop new solutions for internal applications

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Basic knowledge of the data lifecycle and data management functions
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms 
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Basic knowledge of data system components to determine controls needed
• Knowledge of data modeling fundamentals (e.g., primary and foreign keys, constraints, indexing, etc.)
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, with a passion to build an inclusive and innovative culture
• Basic knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

• Understanding Software Engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience with data science tools
• Problem-solving aptitude
