The opportunity

EY Luxembourg's Digital Factory seeks a skilled and forward-thinking AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy impactful AI solutions tailored to address financial services challenges. You'll work collaboratively with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to leverage the power of AI for enhanced decision-making, process automation, and the creation of new client-facing products.

Your key responsibilities

• Continuous Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Engage in ongoing dialogue with various internal business departments to gain a deep understanding of their processes and workflows.
• Identification of Automation Opportunities: Analyze existing processes to identify and prioritize opportunities for automation that promise significant productivity improvements.
• Process Analysis and Decomposition: Break down complex business processes into manageable components suitable for automation.
• ML Solution Design: Design machine learning (ML) solutions aligned with these identified opportunities, ensuring they meet business needs and enhance efficiency.
• ML Solution Implementation: Develop and implement these ML solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Research and Innovation: Stay current on the latest advancements in AI, particularly within the financial services domain. Experiment with new techniques and technologies to drive innovation.

Skills and attributes for success

• Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Technical Expertise: Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning concepts and statistics.
• Programming Proficiency: Excellent coding skills in Python, and experience with relevant data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, NumPy, PyTorch).
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical approach to problem-solving, ability to translate complex business requirements into AI solutions.The top performer should have the following qualities:

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Passion and drive for high dimensional optimization, mathematics, statistics, and technology.
• A strong belief that the future should be exciting and that humans should not focus their efforts on tedious and repetitive work but rather on work that truly brings value to the world.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field is a strong plus.
• 2+ years of experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Experience in cloud-based AI development, preferably Azure.
• Solid understanding of MLOps concepts and tools would be advantageous.
