Job Description

We are looking for a highly driven and motivated "Lead, Data Analytics" to join our fast-growing team based here in Bangladesh. If you are looking for a place where you can gain hands-on exposure and create direct impact, then this may be the place for you! The ideal candidate will have a track record as a significant individual contributor as well as a team leader. Comfortable working independently, leading a team and working closely with the management team. This exciting new role will be heading up the growing Data team. This team is one of the driving forces behind foodpanda.

Responsibilities:

• Play a proactive role in defining the business’ data needs, collect, organize, and analyze data from a variety of sources.
• Deliver key analyses, provide insights on current product performance and growth as well as analyses on our suppliers, onboarding, customer services and quality levels, to help identify business development opportunities across geographic markets.
• Drive better business decisions and to lead decision-making processes.
• Build long-term strategies by analyzing data and finding opportunities.
• Work closely with the operations and product teams in the APAC region to identify scalable processes to manage and automate end to end.
• Review day-to-day operation processes, identify area of improvement in operational processes and make actionable recommendations.
• Build, maintain, and communicate reporting models.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate growth within the APAC region by ways of automation.
• Collaborate with other functional teams across the APAC region to drive automated processes

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and automation environment.
• Fluency in SQL and Python is required.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Self-learner mentality.
• Being comfortable to drive technical automation and business intelligence efforts in a highly operational environment.
• Prior experience in a start-up or e-commerce strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of managing a technical team.
• Agile and DevOps approach, with an operational experience as an Ops in a demanding environment. You know what it’s like to manage in production critical systems and you have experience in sharing this knowledge to the teams to enable a “you build it / you run it” mindset
