Job Description
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the fiscal year (FY) attainment of budgeted revenue and EBIT goals of two main product suites: Data Enrichment (Phone, Email, Address) and Data Quality/Governance (Hosted/Non-hosted SaaS, Aperture Data Studio)
- Work directly with the VP of Product & Marketing to ensure both tactical plans and strategic vision are appropriate and position product suite for growth and success
- Leverage knowledge of Software as a Solution (SaaS) product models and conduct/direct research to develop and drive product strategy for North America clients and marketplace
- Create and maintain product roadmaps inclusive of new product releases, proof of concept efforts, and product retirement plans
- Establish deep product expertise and partner relationships with Experian Data Quality (EDQ) Global Teams to ensure North America value propositions are clear and achievable
- Identify buyer/user personas and target markets, and develop and execute product positioning (internal and external) for Sales leaders and related Sales teams (Business Development Resources/BDRs)
- Work closely with Operating Teams for product delivery inclusive of Salesforce pricing and quoting capabilities, and business continuity plans
- Engage and mange vendors/partners/suppliers that enhance EDQ product capabilities and achieve ROI thresholds
- Execute annual risk management reviews of product solutions and identify risk controls when needed
- Provide leadership to a team of Product Owners, Product Analysts and Software Solution developers
- Plan, prioritize, and maintain product feature backlog and development for the product suite via Agile methodology
- Support direct team with the development of use cases/stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value and are aligned with product strategy
- Lead the product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
- Ability to stay current on relevant market activities/trends, the competitive environment, emerging solutions and technologies which are relevant/impact the product area and identify and communicate obstacles/partnership or acquisition opportunities to manager
- Own and develop product collateral in partnership with marketing team including product brochures, website content, infographics, videos, white papers, client presentations, etc.
- Support sales with product expertise and tools such as product collateral, communication updates, ongoing sales training, client presentations/product demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses, competitive positioning documents, and other relevant materials
- Work closely with legal and compliance to establish the necessary product documentation and reviews before delivering product enhancements to the market
- Establish reporting and continuously monitor product revenue and pipeline, and leverage data to forecast product revenue and participate in monthly revenue reviews
- Lead and manage processes for obtaining client feedback through Voice of Client (VOC) efforts, collaborate with sales and account management teams and leverage to inform product plan and enhancements and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Present product overviews and details to both internal/external, conferences, and webinars
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- 6+ years' of experience in product management as a product owner or product manager required
- Demonstrated experience in Software as a Solution
- Prior experience managing a team
- Strong business acumen in data quality, data enrichment, data governance
- Experience with broad regulatory agencies (e.g., CFPB, OCC, FTC) and requirements (e.g., Privacy, GLB, FCRA)
- Experience in at least one of the following: Financial Services/Retail Banking, FinTech, Consumer Retail, Healthcare, Commercial/Small Business, Mortgage, Automotive, Marketing Services
- Strong knowledge of Agile process and principles
- Experience working with existing and emerging products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio), Confluence, and Jira
- Excellent creative and technical writing, editing and coordination skills
- Strong knowledge of the documentation process from design to commercial release
- Experience developing user-friendly, custom-facing knowledge for a variety of audiences
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with various leadership levels, including Director and VP level and internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support)
- Bachelor's degree in product/operations management, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field required
- Travel will be required 25%
