Location Details: Australia, Remote

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

GoDaddy is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our Generative AI and Machine Learning Team. We are using the latest generative AI models and technologies to accelerate the success of over 20 million small business entrepreneurs globally. Our team has built and deployed at-scale generative AI solutions in the area of social media post and video creation, logo generation and conversational experiences. 

As a Senior Machine Learning Scientist, you will be part of a global team, and use generative AI and Machine Learning models to improve existing customer-facing products, as well as build innovative new experiences, that will have a direct impact on the businesses of millions of entrepreneurs!

What you'll get to do...

• Build Generative AI models and applications for intelligent business applications, social media post and design applications, logo generation systems, intelligent assistants and conversational experiences and more
• Provide technical leadership, identify and understand key business challenges and opportunities, and develop end-to-end software solutions using ML and AI
• Articulate and understand a business problem, identify challenges, formulate the ML problem and provide/prototype solutions
• Collaborate extensively with internal partners, program management, and engineering team to ensure that solutions meet business needs
• Collect and process large volumes of data; build new and improved techniques and/or solutions for data collection, management, and usage
• Communicate results in a comprehensible manner to all levels of the company
• Brainstorm and collaborate with other team members

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years of experience in an industry role in Machine Learning
• 5+ years of experience working with live data (data cleaning, data visualisation and modelling)
• Hands-on experience with Deep Learning Neural Network technologies and training and fine-tuning models (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Hands-on experience working with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Transformer model architectures
• Strong experience working with Computer Vision models
• Strong experience with Python
• Experience working in an agile environment, and iteratively deploying AI / Machine Learning systems iteratively 
• Experience with documenting, synthesising, and communicating results
• Ability to read and implement ground breaking techniques, algorithms and models from academic papers and industry

You might also have...

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with working with frontier Large Language Models (LLM) such as OpenAI/Anthropic, etc.
• Experience building information search, retrieval and ranking systems and recommendation systems
• Experience with data engineering and building data pipelines and working with data lakes (e.g. Airflow)
• Experience with Image Diffusion models such as Stable Diffusion
• Experience working with Cloud Technologies such as AWS (e.g. SageMaker, Glue, etc.) and using Infrastructure as Code to deploy solutions
