The Research Analyst is responsible for aggregating, analyzing, and reporting performance data to support Scripps media properties on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, trends, and/or competitive data from a variety of sources to understand needs and identify opportunities for our local sales teams and corporate stakeholders
  • Prepare recurring analysis of market program audiences to support local station sales and content initiatives.
  • Support development and maintenance of sales materials as assigned.
  • Provide news management with data and analysis to support content decisions.
  • Provide station management with data and analysis to support syndicated programming decisions.
  • Support research and analysis projects.
  • Respond and fulfill station ad hoc requests
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience with media audience rating systems, ComScore TV, Media Monitors, and/or other qualitative, quantitative, and competitive media data, as well as data organization and visualization tools, such as Snowflake, SQL, Tableau preferred.
     

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Natural curiosity and analytical skills with the ability to work quickly and independently
  • Ability to collaborate with the research team, data analytics, local stations, and corporate stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources and to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Must be well-organized
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to work in a team environment
