Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization! Stearns Bank is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst. This is a remote-eligible position headquartered out of St. Cloud, Minnesota. 


JOB SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing and creating reports and dashboards, completing analytics projects, and ensuring effective information delivery for business users, both technical and non-technical, across Stearns Bank. This includes collaborating with the Stearns Bank Connect technology team to establish and execute tracking, key business driver reporting, descriptive and diagnostic reporting, and delivering results concisely that drives decision making and strategy based on these findings.

 

Starting annual salary of $85,000.00. Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with business users to capture reporting requirements and translate into a data request. 
  • Identify the appropriate data to investigate, then gather, analyze, and interpret. 
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality.
  • Leverage statistical methods to allow for analysis of large volumes of data.
  • Combine reporting from across multiple platforms to produce consistent reports.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Work with vendors to gather vital data and reporting information.
  • Build reports & presentations that use data visualization and graphics to inform and influence decision makers.
  • Innovate operational improvements that enable efficient delivery and maintenance with consistent direction.
  • Interact with software developers, operations, and business unit teams to plan testing for delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet product requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow BI team members to develop performance indicators and reporting that allow for quantification of projects and their results.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests to create specialized reports based on user specific requirements.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.  
  • Literacy in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field preferred; professional experience and/or certifications in a related field will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 3+ years of analytics, data science, business intelligence. 
  • Related experience in a Finance or Banking environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and data visualization.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as SQL and Python.
  • Creative solving of technical problems to create scalable tools and systems.
  • Business Process Understanding.
