Senior Data Analyst / Data Engineer

SUMMARY:

As a Data Analyst / Engineer we expect you to have a strong focus on Tableau visualisation and a solid background in data engineering. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing insightful data visualisations while also possessing the capability to build ETL processes. If you are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and have a knack for creating compelling visual stories, we want you on our team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

You will join our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:

  • Develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualisations.
  • Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Consume APIs to extract data from different data sources such as: New Relic, Plandek, Teamcity, Github, etc.
  • Store this data into Elasticsearch in order to be used inside Tableau.
  • Communicate your needs clearly and responsibly

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with expertise in Tableau Desktop and Server.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including building ETL processes.
  • Experience working with diverse datasets from various sources (SQL databases, APIs, CSV files, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate complex findings and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience with C#, Python, Ruby, Java, etc
  • Experience working in Agile development environments, particularly in a Scrum framework.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Certification in Tableau Desktop or Server Administration.
  • Background in machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.
