The Opportunity:

As our in-house Data Scientist, you'll be at the forefront of our data strategy, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques to extract insights, drive business outcomes, and unlock the full potential of our data. You will have the opportunity to work with various types of data, including structured and unstructured data, and utilise advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms. Your role will involve developing predictive models, conducting data mining and analysis, and creating data visualisations to effectively communicate findings.

We are looking for a data scientist who is passionate about leveraging data to drive business growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong programming and scripting abilities, and a deep understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Storytelling: Dive deep into vast oceans of data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Your ability to tell compelling stories with data will not only inform our strategies but inspire action and innovation across our organization.Applying data visualisation techniques to effectively communicate insights and findings.
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Employ advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling to tackle complex challenges. You’re not just solving problems; you’re anticipating them and creating solutions that keep us two steps ahead.
  • Driving Decisions with Data: Transform data into a strategic asset for the company. Your insights will directly influence key business decisions, from product development to market strategies, shaping our path to success.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with teams across the company, from marketing to product development, translating complex data concepts into clear, actionable business terms. Your work will not only influence decisions but also foster a culture of data-driven thinking throughout the organisation.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve in a field that never stands still. Embrace new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to continually enhance our data capabilities and drive innovation.

Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Proven expertise or qualifications in Data Science or Analytics 
  • Equipped with proven experience in data science, analytics, or a related role, showcasing your ability to turn data into strategic insights.
  • Proficient in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and familiar with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • A natural communicator, capable of conveying complex data insights in simple, impactful ways to diverse audiences.
  • Curious and innovative, always exploring new data techniques and technologies, with a passion for solving problems and driving change.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and data manipulation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves:

  • Publication or contribution to research in the field of algorithmic analysis, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
  • A solid grasp of the latest trends in digital media consumption and a passion for exploring emerging platforms and technologies.
  • Experience working with APIs for data gathering and integration from various online platforms and social media.

  • London - Shoreditch ~ we are an in-person-first culture and believe in fostering a vibrant and work environment centred around connection and community.
  • Some roles will require global travel so flexibility in this aspect is important and your hiring manager will confirm this with you during the interview process
