Ardent is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our team - this is a remote role.

Position Description:

As a Senior Data Architect, you will be creating modern IT solutions that are future-ready, adaptable, resilient, responsive to changing business needs and be able to shift away from on-premise infrastructure to cloud architecture, while being offered the opportunity to embrace the impact of AI and ML technologies, to drastically improve the overall customer experience. You and your team will provide expertise and technical support in designing, creating, reviewing, and maintaining XML and JSON resources; providing technical support to other projects to ensure effective use and implementation of these resources; and providing expertise and technical support for international standards and the nationalized implementation of them for the US Federal Government. 

Candidate Skills Include:

  • Experience designing, creating, reviewing, and maintaining XML and JSON resources (e.g., DTDs, XML Schemas, JSON schema, structure, WSDLs documents).
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment with Scrum/Kanban and using tools such as Rally.
  • Familiarity with UI frameworks and common frontend coding languages like JavaScript (inc. TypeScript), HTML5, and CSS.
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, Web Services, Spring Framework, Google App Engine, and Java/ J2EE Framework.
  • Experience applying usability standards and maintaining compliance with section 508 Web Accessibility.
  • Extensive experience working with and manipulating XML and JSON data formats, preferably including XPath and XSL (XSLT and XSL-FO) transformations.
  • Experience with mobile and web standards; Google Chrome developer tools.

Ideal Candidates Have:

  • Experience using Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud database services.
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Lucene, Hive, Tomcat, Solr, Spark; 
  • Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, microservices, and solution architecture.
  • Knowledge of data architecture paradigms, data modeling, and data engineering. Understanding of automated testing, performance testing, load testing.
  • Ability to write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries.
  • Experience using Python programming language and knowledge of common artificial and machine learning techniques; AI/ML prototyping with Adobe CS, Sketch, InVision, Axure.
  • Ability to use Altova’s Mapforce; Syncro Soft’s Oxygen; Tibco’s Turbo XML.
  • Ability to use web-based Content Management Systems (.e.g., Alfresco).
  • Experience with Jenkins; IBM Web Sphere.

Requirements:

  • BS or other relevant degree
  • 5 combined years as a Data Architect/ Engineer and Data Analyst

This is a direct-hire/ full-time role.
