Objective:Working under minimal supervision, the Data Principal, is a business minded individualresponsible for understanding the data needs across the enterprise and to develop and executea roadmap to maximize data capabilities and business insights. The Data Principal is responsiblefor scaling the data function as new products and services are implemented and transformingdata into insights that inform strategy and decision making to support profitable growth.
Job Responsibilities:Guide the future direction of data solution, including intake, sources, database designand structure, data integrity and database tools.Hands on with dimensional data modelingHelp client in transforming data and information into insights that inform high-levelstrategy and tactical decision-making in support of revenue and profitability objectives.Be a champion for a data driven culture, lead a team of cross-functional analysts andsupport and train staff in data systems and reporting.Develop and execute a plan to maximize self-service capabilities for users andcustomers.Proactively communicate and collaborate with clients to ensure information needs areformalized and understood and be conversant in the functional requirements forinformation exchange.Oversee internal and external application/tool development, integration and support.Where required, supervise and evaluate external consultants.Exposure to at least one of the cloud ecosystem (AWS/Azure/GCP)Exposure to either Snowflake or Databricks would be an asset
Qualifications:10+ years of experience in data spaceStrategic mindset with demonstrated experience in implementing data solutions anddriving continuous improvementExpert communication skills and ability to influence C-suite executivesPrior experience in contributing data related pre-sales and proposals
