Senior Azure Cloud Data Engineer with Golang expertise (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

Within the CTO area we operate and develop the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and Cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. Drive transformation, leverage innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the services provided by the CTO area.

The CTO division enables all CIO/COO divisions with technology and data services.

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer and an experienced Golang developer, you will be an essential part of the Reference Data team. You understand how dataflows work from end to end, i.e., ingest, throughput / validation, transformation, verification, output - including different API-formats. You will implement the data requirements in technical solutions based on Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks). You will be part of an international team and interact with our Data Architects, Data Analysts and Software Engineers to ensure a data driven approach. You will help us to build completely new Reference Data platform to manage >8500 attributes, >140 mio. data updates per day, >76 mio. instruments.

Your responsibilities:

• You will contribute to design, implementation, and testing software components / services.
• You are responsible for implementing data pipelines, data models, data services , APIs and data quality metrics.
• You are able to write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
• You play a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient, performant micro services distributed architecture by
• collaborating with our data architects and software engineers.
• In addition, you will collaborate with our FAs and Testers and support with their queries.
• You will contribute and lead the transformation of our reference data applications to the cloud.

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed your University degree in Information Technology or have a comparable profession, experiences in the financial industry with a strong background in post trade processes, clearing, financial regulations and compliance will be an asset
• You have at least 6 years of practical experience with software development
• You are proficient in cloud technologies (Azure and/or GCP), Azure Data Bricks, data lake etc.
• You own strong knowledge and practical experience in Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms, furthermore, experience with the full site of Go frameworks, tools and you have the ability to write clean and effective Godoc comments
• You are familiar with code versioning tools like Git
• You are experienced in agile project methodology with strong solution-oriented attitude
• Ability to work in a cross-location international team
• Team player with good communication skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
