Senior Data Analyst

The Sr. Data Analyst will be part of the program delivery team for Sysco Business Service Digital CoE leveraging technologies like Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI. Our data analysts drive outcomes as champions of data literacy and transparency.

Requirements

• Lead efforts in engaging with business stakeholders to understand business strategy, questions and goals, bringing structure to business requests, translating requirements into an analytical project approach (PoC), and drive through the full project cycle by working closely with IT partners (product owner, data engineer, platform)
• Visualize and tell compelling stories with data. Prepare and deliver visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business stakeholders to implement
• Own and manage recurring analytic or reporting processes including manual refresh of existing Tableau Dashboards
• Lead efforts in troubleshooting production issues, identifying root cause and communicating results to Dashboard users as L1 support. Escalate the issue to L2 support when necessary.
• Lead efforts in the verification and accuracy of data, ETL data in Alteryx, maintain and support the Access Query
• Lead efforts in evaluating and delivery of new functionality and change requests for existing dashboards and reports
• Lead efforts in driving adoption of Tableau dashboard and other BI tools through close engagement with business stakeholders
• Champion dashboard quality, consistency, usability and reliability by documenting and applying best practices and standard procedures for data visualization
• Ad Hoc research / automation requests as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 4 years of experience in an Analytics related role
• 3-4 years of experience in Tableau development. Tableau Desktop Certified is required
• 3-4 years of experience in Alteryx development. Core Designer License Certified is required
• Proficient working with SQL to pull and manipulate data
• Experience working with OCR, PDF to text, a plus
• Experience working with R/Python/Data Visualization, a plus
• Experience working on small/specialized teams, Kanban and/or Scrum team experience preferred
• Accountable to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Undergraduate degree in analytic/quantitative field such as: Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related analytical field of study or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written advanced English. (B2+)
