ABOUT THE ROLE:We are looking for a Senior Risk and Payments Data Analyst to join our Risk and Payments team for a permanent position. The successful candidate will be a quick learner with superior Excel, SQL and Python skills, outstanding analytical skills, excellent Data visualization skills, and a keen eye for creating efficiencies in a fast-paced environment. They will be relied on and be given an opportunity to change the landscape of Risk mitigation and analytics. If this is your passion then this role could be for you. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will perform a critical function in innovating and implementing process changes and creating data strategies to enhance our risk mitigation and data analytics to make sure we follow a data-driven analytical approach for our overall business. You will be relied on for insights and recommendations based on your analysis of a variety of data sources.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Reporting to the Senior Risk and Payments Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
• Researching, developing, implementing and maintaining enhanced data models, reporting systems, predictive modeling techniques, data automation processes, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.• Ideating and innovating new approaches for enhanced real-time risk mitigation while also reviewing and measuring our performance and fraud KPIs.• Identifying data trends and insights to solve significant, immediate business problems.• Understanding best practices of analytical techniques, engaging in organized information gathering, understanding cross-functional requirements, and being able to present findings to all levels of management as appropriate.• Working with the Data team to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Designing, managing, and overseeing the maintenance of data dashboards and reports to support decision-making.• Working with and supporting the Senior Director, Risk and Payments to deliver best-in-class risk mitigation, chargeback and data analysis results.• Overseeing the design, development and management of real-time risk and fraud rules.• Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Data Engineering, Marketing, Accounting, Partner Support etc for various project needs while building strong relationships and driving innovation. • Maintaining, expanding and regularly reporting on key performance metrics in the risk mitigation areas while continually drawing on industry trends and best practices to ensure that these measures are benchmarked against credible industry comparisons.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:• 5+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting. Strong experience with Excel, Data Visualization & Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Looker, SQL (complex querying involving multiple tables and subqueries) and Python are things we’re looking for.• Passionate about details, and driven by data and trends.• Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical modeling techniques such as Predictive modeling, hypothesis development, Supervised and Unsupervised learning, designing tests, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business cases.• An avid user of technology and tools to continually learn and share this knowledge actively with team members.• You live for KPI’s and dive into deep analytics. You will also be sharing your knowledge amongst the team and other cross-departments for better collaboration.• University/College degree or relevant working experience.• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment while driving change.• Ability to assist with other ad-hoc support.• Experience and or knowledge of Risk/Payments or Chargeback space in a card-not-present environment (preferred).
