Senior Quant Research Analyst/Data Scientist

Description

As a  Senior Quant Research Analyst/Data Scientist within our Quantitative Research Team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, developing models, and providing insights to drive recommendations. Your work will directly impact our firm’s strategies and client workflows. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quantitative Modeling
  • Develop and implement complex quantitative financial models to analyze financial securities. 
  • Use statistical methods to evaluate performance, risk, and profitability. 
  • Collaborate with team members to test, review, and refine models to improve stability and efficacy. 
  1. Data Analysis
  • Analyze large datasets, including market trends, industry-specific data, and macroeconomic indicators. 
  • Conduct performance analysis of existing strategies. 
  • Draw conclusions from analysis and present those findings and insights to team members and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. 
  1. Research and Innovation
  • Lead independent research projects by conducting rigorous quantitative analysis and generating creative ideas from insights. 
  • Test the stability and efficacy of factors, write production code, and develop forecasting models. 
  • Explore unconventional data sources to drive innovation. 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant research-centered discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering). 
  • 5+ years of experience developing quantitative financial models 
  • Demonstrable experience as a Quantitative Researcher. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Stata, or similar tools. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate abstract concepts into practical measures. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Certifications: CFA certifications are advantageous
