  • Become a part of the Global Insight & Foresight Team: our team aims at informing the House on important emerging trends, transformative forces, and cultural shifts, happening today or that could one day impact our clients, brand, business and the company. We unveil human insights by listening to people, citizens and employees. We address company topics as exciting new areas of research and analysis.

  • Navigate a varied environment of senior managers and leaders across the House, accompanying the teams in a wide spectrum of topics and challenges at a global level

  • More specifically, join the Culture & Society unit, focusing on qualitative research projects: reporting to the Qualitative Research Senior Lead, and interacting on a daily basis with other team members, including Strategic Planning and Social Media Listening Leads and Analysts

  • Support the qualitative research practice by managing qualitative research projects, ensuring they are in line with CHANEL’s standards of excellence, conducted with curiosity, integrity and innovation, helping to make them shine across the House

  • The role is located in Paris 1er arrondissement, with flexibility up to 2 days per week remote work. Occasional travel to our headquarters in London and to oversee research projects abroad

What impact you create at Chanel

  • Implement and supervise qualitative research projects pertaining to all CHANEL divisions (Fragrance & Beauty, Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry): lead conversations with internal stakeholders to identify key needs and questions, supervise agencies’ work, developing relationships with them, ensure deliverables’ relevance, clarity and precision, and assist sharing across the House. At first on more simple projects, with the goal of gaining expertise to manage more complex, strategic projects

  • Bring success and impact to projects developed by the Culture & Society unit, as well as by the Global Insight and Foresight Team at large:

    • By creating summaries and data crunching, navigating recent data as well as our insights archive

    • By challenging formats and style as well as storytelling of existing deliverables, to create compelling presentation format

  • Develop a leading-edge vision on beauty products testing / assessment, through market and trends knowledge, relations with internal stakeholders, expertise on fragrance&beauty-focused projects

  • Navigating a senior management environment, delivering messages with clarity, diplomacy and subtelty

What you will bring

  • Agility, inventiveness, ability to challenge the status quo, curiosity to help build expertise of pulse-taking / reactive methodologies. Experience or interest in tech a plus

  • A team player spirit, a will to learn and experiment

  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for beauty across all 3 axes (fragrance, skincare, make-up): understanding of actors and market trends + dynamics, passion for products, interest for insights surrounding benefits, usage, style

  • Strong abilities and some experience in marketing: a knack for words, concepts and storytelling, taste and skills to create eye-catching, compelling presentations

  • Impeccable English mandatory, fluent French a plus

  • Optional: initial experience in market research, having gained operational autonomy on project management and being able to audit methodologies with perspective and an eye for critique – At least previous exposure to market research and trend reports
