We are seeking a talented Systems Manager with expertise in database architecture and data integration to join our team at Astera Labs. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive and innovative individual to lead the design, development, and management of our database infrastructure, as well as facilitate seamless data movement across different systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain database systems from the ground up, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent the organization's data assets and support the needs of various stakeholders. Implement best practices for data modeling, including normalization, denormalization, and indexing strategies.
  • Data Integration: Develop robust data integration pipelines to facilitate the movement of data between disparate systems, both internally and externally. Utilize ETL tools and techniques to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the organization.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Implement tuning strategies to optimize query performance, minimize latency, and maximize throughput.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand data requirements and priorities. Act as a trusted advisor on database and data integration-related matters.
  • New System Implementations: Design and lead the implementations of new systems within the company, such as SAP or pricing system. Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to onboard these new systems to the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, database architecture, and data integration, with a focus on building and managing database systems from scratch. Experience in AWS and the semiconductor industry is a must.
  • Proven expertise in relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data analytics technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database query optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
