Position Summary

As a Lead Data Scientist on the Network Configuration team, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge machine learning solutions. You will be required to stay up to date with emerging trends in the industry and leverage your expertise to create advance analytical approaches to geo-spatial and optimization problems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for machine learning integration, and create innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of ML driven applications, algorithms, and models that fit project requirements.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Out-standing problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to prototype and implement complex solutions.
  • Conduct research and stay current with the latest advancements, industry trends and best practices in AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Build robust and scalable AI/ML systems that can handle large data volumes and real-time processing.
  • Optimize and fine-tune models for performance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and code documentation.
  • Craft compelling narratives and visually appealing content to engage and inform senior executives on strategic initiatives, progress, achievements, and key metrics of data science and analytics projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Assist leaders in developing compelling business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and value propositions for new data science and analytics projects. Articulate this work to internal stakeholders and executive leadership and demonstrate the impact of data-driven insights on the organization's goals.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience using machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), with proven track record of end-to-end building and deploying advanced applications, including knowledge of geo-spatial and optimization solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
  • 7+ years of experience and proficiency in working with large datasets and distributed computing platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform services like Vertex AI and Kubeflow or comparable services like Airflow, Argo, etc.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience would be desired.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security considerations in AI development.
  • Solid understanding of reinforcement learning algorithms and their applications.
  • Familiarity with transfer learning and domain adaptation techniques.
  • Proficiency in working with large-scale datasets and implementing distributed training strategies.
  • Proficiency in integrating low-code and no-code solutions with custom code and external systems through APIs and connectors.
  • Familiarity with causal inference methods and counterfactual reasoning in machine learning.
  • Experience with time series analysis and forecasting using ML techniques.
  • Knowledge of Bayesian machine learning and probabilistic programming frameworks.


Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$136,217.50 - $267,800.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
