The role

As ONE’s Head of Data Platforms and AI, you'll lead the development and maturation of our data platform, transitioning from our original systems to a fully-fledged production environment. This role is crucial in building and expanding a robust architecture for long-term scalability and efficiency. You'll oversee hiring and building a team of incredible ONEders, lead our efforts for integration of various data sources, and collaborate closely with the other teams at ONE to drive innovative product development with advanced data analytics and AI solutions.

You Will:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy for ONE that incorporates machine learning and AI technologies where necessary and valuable

• Grow our Data and AI capabilities to ensure that we can scale our systems along with our business

• Be a hands-on technical leader, capable of diving into the weeds when necessary

• Collaborate across departments, effectively communicating complex technical concepts in business terms

You Bring:

• Extensive experience in data engineering and AI, with a focus on building data platforms and infrastructure for large scale critical applications

• Strong Engineering background with (ideally) experience in tools like Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc

• Large team leadership skills, with a track record of developing talent and managing complex projects and situations

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a knack for translating technical details into business impacts

Leveling Philosophy

In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at One. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within One.
