Senior Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be working within the engineering team with subject matter expertise in applying development best practice, patterns, and methodologies to data usage, pipelines and structured/unstructured data architecture. You will be working closely with all members of the engineering team including the Head of Engineering to help define architecture, vision, and process related to the BlackCloak platform. You will also be responsible for day-to-day tactical data management and project execution - you need to be delivering actionable code and flows every day.

What You Will Do

• You will lead the design and implementation of data pipelines internally and with partner/vendor and client endpoints
• Develop new data store and data lineage features
• Design reusable and scalable data models and libraries for current and future use
• Optimize data patterns for maximum speed and scalability
• Own data quality, hygiene, security and compliance requirements
• Design and implement datastore telemetry and logging
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Be the go to for all data processes, storage and analytics project and process needs

What You Need to be Successful

• 5+ years as a data engineer in a low latency B2C/B2B environment
• Extensive experience designing and using noSQL and structured SQL solutions
• Strong experience with BigQuery, Firebase, Elastic, Snowflake or similar managed architecture
• Strong experience with Cloud technologies (GCP/AWS)Experience using Jira as a tracking tool
• Experience using Github/Gitlab/Jfrog and similar tools
• Strong experience working with team on building & deploying CI/CD pipelines
• Have experience with third-party libraries and APIs esp RESTful principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle
• Experience using testing frameworks and test methodologies

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity experience 
• Data integration, ETL and Data Science experience
• Experience with Kafka, Rudderstack, Redis, Spark, Pandas, ETL and ELT tools
