The Role – Data Engineer
The core mission of the data team is to provide meaningful recommendations and actionable insights from our users’ and client data as we strive to build the best version of Unmind.
As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to this mission by contributing to building out our data platform architecture to enable data analysts and data scientists - as well as key stakeholders to access a variety of business and platform insights for critical decision making.
You will sit within our data team, report into our Head of Data, and collaborate closely with Software and Systems Engineers.

We move quickly, which means that the focus and responsibilities of any position can be quite dynamic – but here’s how we initially see your skills and passion coming to life at Unmind.
Build and Maintain - You will contribute to the build and maintenance of the technology and data platform architecture that processes and translates our data for strategic decision-making. This will include maintaining and supporting new data integrations and pipelines.
Own and Deliver - You will assist in the direction, management and implementation of the data engineering roadmap and strategy. You will also be responsible for owning and delivering projects within the data engineering team.
Collaborate - You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, systems engineers, software engineers, and key stakeholders to identify performance enhancements and opportunities for leveraging the organisation’s data assets to create impact in a fast-moving environment.

- Strong, proven skillset in Python & SQL
- Experience maintaining and working on ELT architecture and/or analytics platforms
- Experience with monitoring data quality, job execution times, job success/failure and remediation
