We are looking for a Director level leader to join our Product Team. This role will focus on data and decision science, leading our strategy on what data to collect, store or transform to drive our credit risk and collections decisions while also supporting a range of customer communication and experience use cases.
Our ideal candidate has experience leading Fintech product teams with specific focus in the risk management and decision science domains.  Exceptional quantitative skills and ability to communicate and make data driven decisions will be critical to the success of this role.  While the job will include people management we want someone who is as comfortable running a product squad as they are with mentoring and coaching. 
Although not your direct reports, you and your PMs will lead teams of designers, data scientists, and engineers while partnering with marketing, legal, finance and other cross functional teams to evolve our product to a place that creates more value for our members and our business.

What you'll do:

  • Set the roadmap and lead the execution across three product squads spanning financial data, underwriting and settlement/collections
  • Develop and maintain a short term and 24 month roadmap that aligns to company, group and product objectives
  • Manage and be accountable for product performance metrics around consumer data like income prediction rate, accuracy; business metrics like loss rates, net credit revenue; and cost metrics like bank partner data costs and payment processing costs
  • Define squad priorities and commitments on a sprint by sprint basis
  • Measure & communicate product performance on a regular basis during periodic business reviews and more frequently as needed
  • Drive strong relationships with stakeholders to set and track short and long term goals
  • Proactively collaborate with other members of product, data, engineering and finance to find ways to expand our offering
  • Design and run A/B tests to constantly be learning about how to push our products forward
  • Explore / discover new data sources that will help us make better decisions.

What you'll need:

  • 8+ years experience in product management, ideally with most of that in Fintech or some risk management type business.
  • 4+ years experience leading teams.A willingness to wear multiple hats and do what is needed to move the team forward
  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • To be a proactive, self-starter to define the path forward on a new product
  • To be able to effectively navigate through ambiguity and bring clarity to your team
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to parse through noise and recognize signals
