Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Business Intelligence Teams are responsible for the processing, mining and delivery of data to their customer community through repositories, tools and services.
The Senior Business Analyst / Developer is a Member of Sensors Global Integrated Supply Chain Organization, ERP and Business Process Transformation Team.
They analyse business challenges and opportunities to optimize E2E Supply Chain performance, aligned with strategic objectives. They define, develop and test and deliver world class innovative, reliable, scalable solutions, applications, reporting and planning tools to enable automation, process efficiency and insightful, actionable analytics and informed decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated reporting tools and analytics.
- Interviews cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensures functional specifications are consistent with TE information technology roadmap, and BU roadmap and strategic objectives.
- Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Analyzes data requirements, complex source data, data models, and determine the best methods in extracting, transforming, and loading the data into the data staging, warehouse, and other system integration projects.
- Creates specifications for reporting systems and analytical tools to meet business requirements.
- Plans and executes unit integration tests and coordinates acceptance testing.
- Assists in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how these automated functions are integrated into the rest of the business and IT processes.
- Responsible for writing detailed specifications required for applications and using programming computer languages and development tools.
- Designs details of automated systems. Creates specifications for reports and analytical tools based on business needs and required or available data elements.
- Performs functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, coding, testing, debugging and implementation of database and reporting applications and programs supporting integrated E2E Supply Chain Business processes.
- Conducts application and system maintenance and enhancements.
- Documents all ETL, database application and analytical tools and data warehouse processes and flows and trouble-shooting procedures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Designs, Develop, Test, Adapt ETL code & jobs to accommodate changes in source data and new business requirements. Manage foundational data administration tasks such as scheduling jobs, troubleshooting job errors, identifying issues with job windows, assisting with Database backups and performance tuning. Manage automation of file processing as well as all ETL processes within a job workflow. Ensure data quality throughout entire ETL process, including audits and feedback loops to sources of truth.
- Creates or update technical and trouble-shooting documentation for transition to support teams.
- Develops automated data audit and validation processes.
- Adheres to excellent development standards and sound procedural practices.
- Effectively manage projects within their control and communicate, manage, and influence timely deliverables of assigned project resources, and cross team subject matter experts.
- Participate in design review sessions and ensure all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications, and business requirements.
- Coordinate with other analytics team members in the definition and development of Visualization and Dashboarding requirements
Job Requirements
- 7+ years breadth and depth of knowledge and experience of Integrated Supply Chain processes and business challenges, and a track record of successfully developing automated analytical and planning tools and reporting and executing projects to improve E2E Supply Chain performance is required.
- 6+ years of Data Engineering experience in ETL design, development, optimization & testing using PL/SQL, SAP Data Services (BODS) or Talend etc.
- 5+ PL/SQL, Complex SQL Tuning, Stored Procedures, Data Warehousing best practices etc.
- 3+ years of experience in relational and Cloud database design, optimization, and performance; preferably with AWS (S3 and Redshift), SAP HANA, BW, Oracle, and Hadoop
- Min 3+ years relevant experience in visualization tools like Tableau.
- 3+ years of experience in developing flows using batch, Realtime and streaming process to personalize experiences for our customers.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and Integrated Supply Chain E2E Process stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral skills are required. Second language is a plus.
- Goal and results oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects, workstreams, priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Innovative and driven to continuously improve and develop skillset and performance and keep up to date with market competitive skillset.
- Willing to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications.
- Ability to travel internationally to meet with internal customers and team members. (<10%)
