Data Analyst Intern

In International Data & Analytics, you will play an essential role in data researching, analyzing, and reporting. As the Data Analyst intern, you will work with customer-facing teams to analytically demonstrate the strength of Nova Credit’s products and services. Ultimately, your role is to ensure that Nova Credit’s products deliver high quality predictive risk signals. Every initiative you work on will be critical for the company’s success.
This is a short-term internship lasting ~2.5 months. It can be part time (15-20 hours per week) or full time (40 hours per week) depending on your availability. This position is expected to work remotely from California or New York. This is an excellent learning opportunity for an undergraduate eager to put their emerging data science skills to work for a fast-paced fintech startup.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

• Preferred Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: 2-3 months
• Time: Can be full time (40 hrs/week) or part-time (15-20 hrs/week)
• Compensation: $35/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will work with a Data Scientist to label and classify bank transaction data that can then be used for modeling purposes.
• You will work with excel/google sheets, python, and other data analytics tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant undergraduate coursework (e.g. Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Analytics)
• Intellectual curiosity along with creativity and technical expertise as you work with data from diverse sources to develop powerful insights
• High commitment to attention to detail, quality and accuracy
