Data Engineer (Remote, Philippines)

As a Data Engineer, your role is to design and implement data automation solutions to support the company's growing data initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data acquisition and analysis are automated to the extent appropriate, and that internal processes are optimized for greater scalability and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• recommending internal process improvements to optimize data delivery, automate manual processes, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability
• developing and implementing data collection systems, data quality control processes, and analytics tools to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics.
• building the infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of sources including Salesforce, Quickbooks, and SQL databases
• filtering and "cleaning" data, and reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• building analytics tools that utilize data pipeline to provide actionable insights into sales, customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics
• interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing management with meaningful reports and actionable recommendations
• performing other related data responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst / Automation Specialist with a strong track record of driving business outcomes
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively present data and insights to stakeholders
• Proficiency in the following:
  • data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
  • statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, Python, Java, etc.)
  • visualization/analysis tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI
  • performing queries, reporting writing, and presenting findings
