Overview

This position will perform a broad range of system and software engineering and development for Unmanned Maritime Systems. The role will encompass software development, software web interface development, software integration, software configuration management, maintenance of software continuous integration environments, software containerization and development of data analysis scripts in support of evaluation of autonomous system performance.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in software engineering and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • 5 years of professional software development experience in programming language, framework, and middleware including but not limited to C++, Python, and RTI DDS
  • 5 years of experience in agile software development process
  • 2 years of experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 3 years of experience developing and integrating embedded control software for autonomous unmanned vehicles
  • 1 year of experience with implementation of artificial intelligence planning algorithms and domain modeling, preferably using Planning, Domain Definition Language
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on autonomous unmanned systems, from an accredited college or university.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive)

  • Provide engineering support services to maintain and improve the software continuous integration (CI) environments for multiple projects.
  • Adjust and add automated checking processes to the existing pipelines, maintain documentation and assist with migrating between CI environments, as needed.
  • Containerizing government owned software products and ensuring that such containers and software meet the requirements defined by the guiding documentation.
  • Deliverables for this effort include containerized software, software documentation, software test plans, software test reports, and software scripts for CI management and integration.

Salary Range: $129,000 - $141,000 annually.
