Job Description

Vuori is seeking an experienced Data Architect to formulate the organizational strategy for data. The Data Architect will create the enterprise data architecture frameworks including standards, modeling, metadata, data quality, security, reference data, and master data. The Data Architect will collaborate across Vuori’s Business,Technology, and Analytics teams to understand current and future data architecture needs across all solution roadmaps. They will translate business requirements into enterprise data frameworks to map and communicate how data flows across the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and maintains data architecture solutions, including data roadmaps, models, diagrams, specifications, guidelines, and standards for enterprise-wide implementations
  • Collaborates across digital engineering, business application engineering and architecture, data engineering, and analytics teams at all phases of the data lifecycle
  • Creates flexible and extensible data structure designs that support effective business decisions
  • Maps data within internal and 3 rd party solutions for a holistic view of enterprise data
  • Partners with Data Governance to drives decisions related to data definition and use across the organization
  • Manages data dictionary and data catalog to track physical data assets across the company
  • Collaborates with Privacy, Information Security, and Data Governance to ensure the data architecture frameworks comply with enterprise standards, regulation and compliance, and security requirements
  • Assists in determining the effectiveness of data and analytics platforms, tools, and solutions in relation to the data architecture, creates necessary implementation/migration plans, and recommends new platforms, tools, and solutions as needed
  • Advocates for the data management discipline, policies, and standards across the enterprise

Qualifications

  • A four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 10 experience with 5+ years of enterprise data architecture discipline with a specialty in Data and Analytics data architecture and solutions
  • Deep knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies, particularly for enterprise-wide data architectures, data management, data governance, and data lake/warehousing
  • Expertise in data modeling, design, and architecture principles and techniques across master data, transactional data, data lake, data warehouse and other analytical data types
  • Able to present data architecture concepts to leadership/executives, business user, and technology audiences
  • Expertise in modern data architectures and technologies including Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory or other pipeline/ETL tools, Snowflake, and PowerBI
  • Strong familiarity with data modeling tools, data quality tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools.
  • Expert understanding of cloud provider solutions for data governance, data pipelines, data management, data streaming, and data analytics
  • Familiarity with API, microservice, and integration concepts and technologies, such as REST, JSON, XML, message queues, and integration patterns/frameworks
  • Hands-on engineering experience in building data and analytics solutions
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional projects; strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage priorities
  • Well organized, adaptable, and a clear thinker

Additional Information

Pay: from $155,000 - $180,000
