What We Need

We’re looking for a passionate Data Analyst to work in our growing Game Insights team. We are looking for someone who can crunch noisy SQL data quickly to extract actionable  insights, and to build standardized metrics and visualizations, to be used by our live services, production, & game studio partners to continuously optimize and improve our games. 

What You Will Do

• Analyze player gameplay and economy telemetry to understand player behavior and develop metrics, data visualizations, and reporting, to enable improvements in marketing or user journeys
• Manage analytics requests from partners for insights that feed ongoing in-game engagement programs and optimizations, by translating data into valuable insights and reports
• Develop queries that allow us to target specific audiences, setup in-game campaigns, experiment, and analyze and share results
• Focus on using data and hypothesis driven decision making to drive future growth and customer lifetime value
• Analyze trends and experiment results to inform acquisition and engagement strategies to improve performance across each
• Perform ad hoc analyses for live services and production teams
• Present analysis findings via presentation and some dashboarding
• Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics Producers to plan and implement analytics and operationalize them into repeatable use
• Develop knowledge of Compliance policies related to customer data

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering (or in another quantitative subject area)
• 2+ years of analytics experience, particularly with relational databases & SQL data manipulation
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages and tools, particularly SQL
• Experience with root cause analysis
• Data visualization experience, Databricks or Tableau experience preferred
• Strong data-storytelling and insights skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Able to work independently with drive to solve problems

Bonus Points

• Experience with Python or R
• Video games experience & passion - particularly in sports games
• Experience working with teams in different time zones, particularly the US
