Green IT’s responsibility is to contribute to H&M Group's sustainability agenda by enabling a platform for real time sustainability data. We will do that by identifying technologies that will help us achieve our sustainability goals. We are working towards connecting sustainability data across our entire value-chain, end to end. This includes storing and verifying sustainability data, supporting advanced calculations and prediction models, and visualizing data through e.g., various reports/dashboards. 

We are looking for a Data Analyst with a genuine interest in sustainability and the ability to transform business' requirements and needs into solutions, to join the Tech Green IT team.

Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will work in a cross-functional product team with a focus on creating end to end solutions for sustainability to enable reporting and steering according to ESG Legislation and other identified sustainability KPIs in line with Group Sustainability prioritized agenda. You will further develop a thorough understanding of Business processes, such as Sustainability, Production, Logistics etc., and the IT-related development needed.

What you will get to do:  

  • Work with multiple complex data sources, prepare data, aggregate, and transform both structured & unstructured data. 

  • Analyze and design solutions together with sustainability stakeholders and the product team to maximize business impact. 

  • Build, test, and optimize solutions with input from sustainability experts. 

  • Explore data from multiple complex data sources (APIs, databases, etc.). 

  • Clean and transform data and develop data flows. 

  • Build reports and dashboards, and products around sustainability data, while securing the realization of business value from data 

  • Build calculation models and prediction models in different environments. 

  • Develop and test different solutions together with Sustainability controllers. 

  • Combine, explore, and draw valuable insights from data. Work with large and complex data assets from various parts of the business.

  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets to enable the business to take data-driven decisions. 

  • Help the client to analyze and visualize data by building dashboards etc.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic degree within Business, Statistics, Engineering or similar 

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a position requiring strong analytical skills. 

  • Experience using numerical, statistical, and analytical methods to apply to data processing.  

  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets. 

  • Skilled in Big Query, SQL or Python is preferred. 

  • Experienced in Data modelling. 

  • Experience working with any data visualization tools e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau, Data Studio 

  • Experience with google cloud and data mesh preferred 

  • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting. 

  • Strong in prioritization, execution, and following up together with a “can-do attitude.” 

  • Motivated by an environment that allows you to work and take decisions independently. 

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
