About the role: As the VP Data Strategy & Analytics you will be responsible for understanding the data needs across the organization and for developing and executing a roadmap to maximize data capabilities. You will have a key-role in generating business insights that clearly create customer, organizational and financial value.

What you’ll do:
- Transform data and information into insights that inform high-level strategy and tactical decision-making in support of revenue and profitability objectives.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of skilled Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers and guide in the future direction of data strategy and processes including sourcing and tooling.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to ensure information needs are formalized and understood and be conversant in the functional requirements for information exchange.
- Develop and execute a plan to maximize self-service capabilities for both internal and external stakeholders with a clear focus on utilization and value creation.
- Influence and effect business process change to support an efficient, scalable and best practice execution and operational environment.
- Work closely with the executive management team to develop processes and insights that inform and optimize business performance.
- Work closely with Commercial, Product and Marketing teams to optimize product, customer and sales processes.
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
- Have a university degree in statistics, engineering, business or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing data to create customer, business and shareholder value.
- Developed, coached and managed a team of analysts (or similar) for more than 5 years.
- 10+ years of experience in an analytical field (within FinTech or a transactional environment is a plus).
- Expert communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence leadership.
- Strong teamwork skills in order to collaborate and build strong relationships with co-workers and internal clients to develop and implement business solutions.
- Project management skills to plan, organize, motivate, and develop team members to achieve specified project goals and objectives.
- A willingness to make business critical decisions whilst soliciting and objectively considering input from appropriate sources and understanding implications of actions on other areas, people, and processes.
- A focus on agility, incremental delivery and the adaptation of approach to each situation.
- You have a genuine interest in exceptional customer outcomes, products, financial technology and/or payments.
- Fluency in English (other languages are a bonus).
