Our client  is seeking to hire an eDiscovery Data Analyst (CEDA) to work with the eDiscovery Technology Services Team (ETS). The eDiscovery Team provides electronic data searches for agencies responding to public records requests (PRR) and litigations. The eDiscovery Team works primarily with the legal teams of any agency requesting its services.

The CEDA will report to the Manager of eDiscovery Operations and will work independently, with the support of the ETS team, to search, preserve, and collect electronically stored information (ESI). This individual will support eDiscovery activities around data preservation management, data collection, and eDiscovery data extraction, providing direct support to litigation, public records requests (PRR), and other state business requests.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist program or project managers along with Records Access Officers (RAOs) and legal counsels on phases of eDiscovery projects.
  • Work with clients on activities of low to high complexity; consults with participants and senior IT personnel to develop data collection and data processing solutions as required.
  • Responsible for and execute eDiscovery requests, including data collection, processing, and setting up review and productions.
  • Use eDiscovery software and Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal to identify, search, collect, and process data for legal teams to review.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to legal and IT teams.
  • Collaborate with other eDiscovery team members to ensure projects are completed on time.

Qualification:

  • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of verifiable IT Security, Operations, or Technical Support experience is required. Two (2) plus years of verifiable hands-on eDiscovery experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, independent thinking, teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work with legal and IT teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly to translate legal requirements to technical requirements.
  • Technically proficient and hands-on experience with eDiscovery industry standard technologies (e.g., Exterro, Relativity, Brainspace, OpenText, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
  • A thorough understanding of the eDiscovery process and lifecycle; must have demonstrated experience leading all aspects of each step in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Keyword Query Language Structure is preferred.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) certification is a plus, but not required.
