Job Description

Are you passionate about education?  love telling stories with data? and possess the skills to hunt, collect, analyse, and visualise data?

As part of the Data Discovery team you will build, deploy, and support data solutions to deliver on key capabilities like marketplace analytics and student study recommendations. Utilise your deep data skills and curiosity to answer knotty business questions and diagnose issue and drive operational excellence. We are seeking an energetic and business focused individual to build and support the analytics infrastructure that enables the collection, management, analysis and visualisation of OUA’s data.

What your day will look like

• Team collaboration on the next most important thing

• Hunt and collect the data needed to answer that burning question. 

• Build data pipelines to get that precious data to the right place at the right time

• Visualise and analyse data to draw out that key insight

• Tell a great story to communicate what we have learnt. 

What you'll bring to this role

• Proven experience in data engineering

• Familiar with cloud-based data storage and data processing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Proficiency in programming languages such Python and SQL

• Experience with API based transaction and bulk integrations

• Experience with Data lake / warehouse concepts and methodologies

• Comfortable communicating with stakeholders on requirement and for delivery of required and desired functionality

• Customer centric thinker able to creatively work through problems and deliver solutions

• Team collaborator with a consultative approach to business partnering

• Resilient, flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity.
