Work you’ll do:

We are searching for a highly motivated Senior Google Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions that empower our organization to make data-informed decisions.

• Design and develop robust data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and curation using various tools and technologies.
• Build and manage scalable data lakes on GCP to store and process large volumes of data efficiently.
• Design and implement data warehouse solutions using BigQuery or other relevant GCP services.
• Prepare data for analytics by cleansing, transforming, and enriching data sets.
• Develop and implement semantic layers to simplify data access and exploration for business users.
• Leverage Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate GCP infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform suite of products (Lake, Notebooks, etc.) to streamline data management and collaboration.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines with analytics workflows.
• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in GCP data & analytics services and best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and improve existing data solutions.
• Document and troubleshoot data pipelines and infrastructure issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or a similar role with a focus on data & analytics on GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of data pipelines, data ingestion, data lakes, data curation, data warehousing, and data preparation techniques.
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with querying large datasets.
• Experience building and managing data pipelines using tools like Apache Beam, Cloud Dataflow, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with Kafka and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with Google Cloud architecture and strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform infrastructure services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Monitoring, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Terraform or other IaC (Infra as Code) tools for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform suite of products (Lake, Notebooks) a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Passion for learning and staying current with the latest advancements in cloud technologies.
