Azure Data Engineer

• Designing, coding and testing software modules/applications
• Identifying, creating, preparing data required for modern BI solutions
• Building various BI solutions using existed cloud provided services
• Creating and documenting the tests to meet requirements
• Deploying BI solutions into cloud environments and integrating them with other components in the application
• Maintaining, tuning and adapting applications to keep them performing to specifications
• Become a trusted advisor to customers by having a thorough understanding of business challenges and the relevant cloud technologies to solve them.
• Help diverse organisations use Azure cloud solutions to solve complex data challenges.
• Understanding existing systems and services and the challenges they present to a customer’s business.
• Keep abreast of technology developments

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Azure Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of modern approaches to data engineering and the best approach to solve our customers’ unique data problems
• Knowledge of SQL and Python, other languages are preferable (PySpark, Java, Scala)
• Experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Strong experience building ETL / ELT pipelines, Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
• Experience with Azure: ADLS, Databricks, Stream Analytics, SQL DW, COSMOS DB, Analysis Services, Azure Functions, Serverless Architecture, ARM Templates
• Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Open mindset, ability to quickly adapt new technologies
• Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
• Excellent knowledge of English language
• Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment
• Professional cloud certification
