Duration: 6 Months (4 days per week)
Our client is one of the largest international dairy organisations in the world. They primarily produce consumer dairy, amongst other products such as milk, yoghurt, cheese and dairy-based beverages for consumers.
In this role, you will work in a team of ambitious and energetic experts, reporting directly to the DMI (digital, media & insights) Manager. The experts in the DMI team work together to develop and accelerate data driven decision making and the digital transformation of the commercial organisation.
Specifically for this role, the development of data-driven tools, analysing wide range of data sources and translating insights into advice for various business terms is critical. You will work together with the DMI team to ensure that these insights are applied and implemented.
In short, you will fulfil a diverse role and are involved in the end-to-end process where you bring data and the business closer together – from data to action.
Requirements
What you will be responsible for:
As a Data Analyst, you will work on larger projects and ad-hoc analyses that contribute to accelerating digital transformation and help make data-driven decisions at both strategic and tactical levels.
Your work spans both global and local business groups.
In this role, you will be involved in:
- The end-to-end process; from data processing, verifications and optimisation (in collaboration with data engineers) to running various analyses, helping to develop dashboards and making results actionable for the business teams
- Using state-of-the-art tooling and work together with a team of experts
- Proactively analysing data and help to understand business performance
- Working with product and business owners to understand business needs and devise solutions
- Actively contribute to the realisation of the data & analytics vision and roadmap
Essential qualifications/skills/competencies required:
- Master in a quantitative field (economics, (technical) business administration, mathematics, artificial intelligence, data science)
- 5+ years of experience in a preferably commercial environment with experience as a business analyst or market analyst
- Knowledge of commonly used programming languages (e.g. R, Python, SQL, etc.) and associated libraries for performing various (advanced) analyses
- Experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to topics such as market mix modeling, price elasticity, demand forecasting
- Experience with the use of business intelligence tools, data visualization (e.g. PowerBI), presentation techniques and MS Office suite in general
- Residing in the Netherlands, as on-site visits are a prerequisite
