Data Analyst

We have a new opportunity for a Data Analyst to join Realise Unlimited, part of our Insights and Analytics division, to deliver analytical projects for our wide client base across sectors including Retail, Financial Services and Leisure.

Realise Unlimited is an analytics consultancy with a strong capability in the field of data science.

You will be using data analytics to improve some of the biggest brands in the UK and internationally, helping shape our clients business through data driven solutions.

You’ll have solid skills in R, Python, and SQL, ideally Power BI and Tableau.

You will support in the development and delivery of analytical propositions and services including NLP, propensity modelling and segmentation builds. You will have a passion for using data and data science to help clients make better decisions matched with an inquisitive, problem-solving mind.

What you will do…

• Support development new analytical/data propositions relevant to the needs of the client base
• Interpret complex data and extract that ‘business value add’.
• Keep up to date with market leading and emerging technologies and languages related to data science, analytics and visualisation.
• Contribute to the innovation process of identifying new opportunities to apply data science techniques.
• Build good working relations with all immediate colleagues and those across the wider Insight Division and Unlimited.
• Lead and/or support colleagues in liaising with client stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered to scope and meet the client needs.
• Ensure that any proposed methodology is analytically robust and appropriate rigour is applied throughout the entire process to ensure the solution is fit-for-purpose.
• Build and maintain relations with the client ensuring their expectations are met and they are fully aware of progress.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed…

• You will ideally be working in a similar Data/CRM Analyst role, with outstanding analytical skills; you’ll have a proven track record of working with data to drive better business decisioning.
• An iterative approach to developing data science solutions through continuous improvement.
• Ideally experience of visualisation tools including Power Business Intelligence (BI) and Tableau.
• Experience of building propensity models using regression, decision trees, random forest. Data mining, advanced data manipulation, machine learning and statistical analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain analytic results and models to a non-technical audience.
• Ideally you will hold a degree level qualification or similar, in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Applied Maths, Statistics, Social Sciences or related fields, and have gained commercial experience in Analytics/Data science.
• Sound working knowledge of languages including R, Python and SQL.
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, positive attitude, a passion to build, and a willingness to seek and learn new concepts.
