As part of the data practice, we are focused on creating a modern architecture and software development practice that can deliver cloud, digital and agile transformations to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong enterprise architecture background, will have worked in large teams and will be comfortable in a client-facing role. You will also be willing and able to contribute to the 6point6 internal data practice strategy and thought leadership.

You will play an integral part to help our customers streamline their data and work with different stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate this to the wider team. Data quality and governance play a big part in this role, so we are looking for someone who has extensive experience in this area of data alongside excellent consulting experience.


Role and responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmaps from a business, technology, and data perspective, including ‘as is’, ‘to be’ and transitional states
  • Enterprise data model/roadmaps to support business strategy
  • Establishment of data architecture best practice
  • Consult and support collaboration across the business
  • Understand the organisation’s ecosystem and its interdependencies, including reference architectures
  • Take a strategic view across all architectural domains, portfolios, and programmes
  • Guide the organisation to make appropriate business, technology, and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability, and scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk
  • Establish architectural principles, policies and standards
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders to assure business, technology and data decisions are aligned with enterprise architecture strategy

Requirements

Essential

  • Ability to communicating between the technical and non-technical
  • Apply business strategy while driving technology strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure that the architecture can scale and evolve accordingly
  • Can demonstrate a strong understanding of enterprise architecture and its subdomains
  • You can understand technical governance and participate in or deliver the assurance of a service.
  • You can make and guide effective decisions, explaining clearly how the decision has been reached.
  • You can understand and resolve technical disputes across varying levels of complexity and risk
  • Exposure or experience with cloud technologies
