About the role:

Success in our data team is about enabling better decisions, faster. At the core of this mission sits our data platform which enables powerful, real-time analytics that empower the wider business.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to work with our Marketing team and provide guidance and analytical support to our strategy and performance.

Marketing is a critical part of our growth ambition, finding ways to impact short-term sales today and build demand for tomorrow. We're looking for someone with exceptional analytics and insight generation skills, with the ability to distil data into a simple story. You will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of partners, including brand marketing, sales, media & digital marketing, and external agencies.

At Motorway we work with cutting-edge data infrastructure such as _dbt, Google BigQuery, Google AI platform, Looker, Google Analytics, Data Studio, Jupyter Notebooks, Colab and more. You’ll also have plenty of development and training opportunities in a truly forward thinking company.

Requirements

  • You’re able to support the measurement and tracking of ROI metrics (performance, media, TV, digital, OOH) and share key learnings with stakeholders
  • You can provide guidance and analytical support for optimising spend allocation and improving effectiveness of marketing ROI strategy
  • You can identify advanced analytic approaches and update our existing tools to support stakeholders in answering business questions focusing on consumer targeting, prediction of future performance of Marketing campaigns, evaluation of brand initiatives based on ROI, and optimal Marketing investment strategies
  • You understand the performance of our marketing spend and can guide recommendations on optimization to improve sales and profitability of investments
  • You can run optimization and simulation scenarios to help provide recommendations to Marketing and Media Planning Teams based on existing Market Mix Modelling
  • You’re familiar with advanced analytics models like Marketing mix models, pricing models and time-series forecasting
  • You have solid grounding in SQL
  • You have a ‘Never stop learning’ attitude and interest in emerging technologies
  • You have a self-starter mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • You’re a natural collaborator and team player
