Global Insights & Business Excellence (GIBEX) is a strategic function, critical for enabling success in the growth of the BBU business.  Our ambition is to build an industry-leading organization, empowering our Commercial teams through the generation of compelling evidence and insights, while ensuring they have the tools and skills to deliver impactful launches that change the practice of medicine for the benefit of patients.  Within GIBEX, the Insights, Analytics, & Forecasting functions are organized across several teams and support both the US and Global organizations:  Respiratory & Immunology, CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic).

Team Overview:

The aim of the Insights, Analytics, & Forecasting (IA&F) team is to establish industry-leading capabilities across the core areas of analytics, forecasting, reporting, business planning, and insight capabilities. It will leverage, reapply, and advance best practices in capabilities and operations from Global and US more broadly across geographies. The IA&F Teams partner to drive portfolio and brand strategy and performance.  Together we strive to uncover deep customer insights in order to drive improved decision-making and business impact.  We are looking for leaders who have the passion to drive business results and bring innovation to what we do for greater impact.

The IA&F teams are responsible for Global and US across the BBU, and is organized around the following core capability areas:

• Insights

• Brand Analytics

• Forecasting

We are looking for a Global Insights & Forecasting Director to provide leadership and strategic direction, delivering competitive advantages through the application of end-to-end insights, analytics, and forecasts across the Global markets.  This role is critical for enabling success in the growth of our business, empowering our Commercial teams through the generation of compelling evidence and insights.  Are you ready to bring out your best self and make a significant impact on our industry-leading pipeline?

What you will do:

As a Global Insights & Forecasting Director, you will serve as a functional subject matter expert, constructing patient-based forecast models, championing the use of local customer insights in strategic decisions, and identifying enhancements and new capabilities.  You will also monitor the external environment to stay up to date on leading insights, analytics, and forecasting capabilities.  This role requires excellent communication skills and a demonstrated track record of effective business partnership.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- 4+ years of demand and/or revenue forecasting experience utilizing epidemiology-based methodologies.

- 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience leading qualitative and quantitative primary market research.

- Familiarity with medical claims (open or closed) or electronic health record databases, IQVIA Rx and sales data, and other syndicated data.

- Proficiency in extracting and interpreting insights from large longitudinal data sources, such as Claims, EMR and other patient level data sets.

- Experience with MS Office products - Excel and PowerPoint skills.

- Advanced modeling skills using Visual Basic, Power BI, SQL+ R or Python are desirable.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

- 5+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Healthcare analytics or secondary data analysis and forecasting

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- An advanced degree is preferred (Master’s, MBA, or PhD)

- Excellent communication and influencing skills, combined with strong leadership and interpersonal skills

- Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership teams.

- Ability to manage a diverse range of simultaneous projects, timelines, and priorities with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

- Capability in applying and deploying deep technical skills and knowledge across IA&F functional areas
