Overview

ISS STOXX is growing! We are searching for a for a Data Manager/ Team Lead to provide leadership and management for our retirement data in the Market Intelligence division.

BrightScope is a financial information business of Market Intelligence that primarily helps retirement market-focused asset managers to identify, target and retain clients. Our data drives better decision-making for individual investors, corporate plan sponsors, asset managers, broker-dealers, and financial advisors. 

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing a dedicated data team in Manila to ensure product quality and delivery in accordance with established SLA. This is an entry level to management and an ideal position for new managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform people management and administrative functions, thereby undertaking performance reviews and regular appraisals to ensure each team member works towards clearly defined and accepted professional and personal goals

• Provide coaching and mentoring to analyst so they effectively manage their duties and responsibilities, providing regular and timely feedback

• Monitor and analyze individual and team performance metrics to achieve business and development goals

• Drive the team towards continuous process improvements, identifying opportunities for increasing productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and improving controls

• Identify gaps/opportunities, create solutions, present them as business cases to key stakeholders and execute the solution effectively

• Strategize, plan and implement effective resource utilization and perform cost/benefit analysis

• Collaborate with other teams and enhance relationship across ISS STOXX including other offices around the world

Qualifications

Training & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree graduate in Finance, Economics, Computer Information Systems, or any other Business/Data related course (MBA or advanced degree is an advantage)

• At least 5 years of related work experience (i.e., library/ database research for Financial Corporate data) in a high-quality and hard deadline-driven environment

• At least 1 year leadership experience whether leading a big project or a team

• Proficient with the use of technology and able to learn new applications on their own (prior experience in web-based searching, Excel and common Office applications, data management and data mining technologies is preferred)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving skill (clear attention to detail and ability to think strategically)

• Highly motivated, adaptable and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership- takes great pride in developing people and teams

Work Location & Schedule:

• Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent dayshift schedule (12pm- 9pm, Manila Time)

• Amenable to go on a 2 to 6 months’ onsite training prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement (3 days' work onsite per week)
