Join our dynamic team as the Manager, Business Intelligence & Data Engineering, reporting directly to the VP of Customer Analytics and Insights. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead BI and Data Engineering projects across the organization, driving our data strategy forward.

Your primary focus will be designing, delivering, and supporting data and reporting solutions that align with the organization’s business strategy and goals, maintaining and improving data quality, and fostering a culture of data, metrics, and reporting governance.

Additionally, you will proactively collaborate with senior business leaders to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions that provide essential information tailored to their needs. You will also establish and manage effective governance practices to ensure that leaders and decision-makers can trust and maintain consistent metrics across the organization.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Being the point of contact for Reporting and Data improvements for the organization.
  • Understanding and documenting business requirements and translating them into deliverables.
  • Implementing improvements to existing data models and creating new models.
  • Leading Power BI reporting across the business by delivering actionable and intuitive reporting.
  • Enabling functional teams by providing governance, support and best practices.
  • Managing the collection, processing and storage of data received from third parties (POS, Inventory, website scrapes, Stock in the Channel, etc.).
  • Providing leadership and mentoring/coaching data analytics integration team.
  • Staying current with the Microsoft’s evolving BI technologies and supporting the team through learning and discovery phase of the new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering, warehousing, architecture, planning and development.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience directly managing and building high performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge base on modern datalake house technologies (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Databricks,etc.) and Azure data engineering tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience using Python for data engineering.
  • Knowledge of Spark, Spark SQL, PySpark.
  • Strong Power BI experience including development of data models, reports/dashboards and governing large-scale deployments.
  • Proven experience in building partnerships across the organization with both IT and the business.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and presentation skills.  
  • Self-motivated, ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Ability to lead the team to accomplish goals on time and work well in a team environment.
