We are looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer in the Product Data & Analytics team who will

• Be responsible for on-boarding and supporting our Xponent product across customers. This position requires strong data engineering and development skills.
• Integrate large datasets from multi-channel client data (web, ad delivery, email, app, ecommerce) into the database and make the data available for analytics and reporting. The solution, once implemented, drives data driven marketing and personalization at scale for our customers.
• Work with advanced data management frameworks and utilities built on Big Data and open-source technologies including Snowflake, Redshift, MySQL. Program and build Product integrations using Python & PySpark. In addition, deploy and support the platform on Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) infrastructure.
• Ability to learn new database and cloud technologies quickly, analytical thinking, delivering quality results, excellent communication, and ability to work in an Agile environment are fundamental to this role.

Other Responsibilities:

• Leverage CSG’s Xponent to build operational marketing databases for customers across a range of verticals.
• Develop custom extensions to the standard data model where needed, to accommodate customer specific data sources that are not represented within the standard data model, to support analytics, reporting and marketing activation use cases
• Productize custom-developed artifacts into the Xponent standard data model, where applicable
• Create and maintain database artifacts, technical documents (functional specs, design document, data model) for all custom development
• Design and implement test procedures to ensure data quality
• Provide feedback and ideas on improvements to the Xponent feature set and usability- with the aim of continuously improving the implementation process and results.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in technology (Computer Science, Information Science
• 4+ years of development in big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MapReduce, etc.)
• 2+ years’ experience in developing ETL pipelines in Snowflake Data Warehouse using combination of Python and Snowflake’s SnowSQL and SnowPipe
• Understanding of Snowflake Architecture, Snowflake Cloud Development & Snowflake Admin Management
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark is a must.
• Knowledge of Spark Performance Tuning & Cluster Optimization techniques is a must
• Working knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, SQL Server etc.) and database design concepts is a must
• Knowledge Kafka and NoSQL Databases (Hbase, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.) is preferred
• Knowledge of Scala, Java, Kubernetes, Airflow is a plus
• Experience in Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus

Snowflake Specific Skillset:

• Use Snowflake's capabilities to work effectively with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in Snowflake
• Tune queries and improve performance using advanced techniques such as data clustering and materialized views
• Employ Snowflake SQL extensibility features such as user-defined functions and stored procedures.
• Implement various data modeling techniques and architectures on the Snowflake Platform
• Employ the Snowpark client libraries to query and transform data in a data pipeline and build applications that process data in Snowflake without moving data to the system running the applications
• Automate data ingestion and expand data lake capabilities using Snowflake
• Implement data governance in Snowflake, including column-level data security using secure views and dynamic data masking features
• Design and develop secure access to objects in Snowflake with Role-based Access Control (RBAC)
• Utilize Snowflake's recommended best practices for management, monitoring and optimization
• Manage multiple accounts across the company using Snowflake Organization
• Employ data recovery methods using Time Travel and zero-copy cloning
• Deploy data and account replication for data sharing across accounts and failover scenarios
• Share data securely both inside and outside organization
