During our 10-week summer internship program, you’ll join our Research team who utilize a wide range of expertise to conduct innovative research at an unprecedented scale and level of complexity. You’ll have the opportunity to develop skills such as producing statistical models, and evaluating the power of family-based association tests compared to standard unrelated GWAS in a corporate setting. You’ll also work with your mentor on a project focused on investigating the use of family-based tests to discover novel genotype-phenotype associations. The job requires strong statistical and computational skills, as well as excellent communication and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates will have multiple years of training in statistical genetics, particularly in analyzing relatedness and performing GWAS, and will be familiar with family-based association tests, such as Transmission Disequilibrium Tests. Moreover, candidates will have the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences and will have extensive computational experience. The dates for Cohort 1 will be June 5, 2023 - August 18, 2023; the dates for Cohort 2 will be June 20, 2023 - September 1, 2023.
