What is the key purpose of a Algorithm Team Lead? As a Algorithm Team Lead in the R&D group, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining advanced software productivity tools and services using cutting-edge AI technologies. You’ll leverage the latest generative AI workflows, LLM models, and RAG-based workflows to create innovative AI solutions, directly influencing how billions of people discover the internet.

What skills and qualifications do I need? For this role, it is essential that you have:

• M.Sc. (PhD. a plus) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in managing research, data science or engineering teams with good interpersonal skills
• 4+ years of work experience in developing end-to-end data science solutions and pipelines as a leader or major contributor
• Great problem solving and critical thinking abilities
• Positive attitude and high communication abilities
• Ability to mentor and give constructive feedback to their team members, that will help them achieve their career goals
• Ability to make solid decisions based on the availability of resources and technical difficulty of the tasks

Nice to have:

• Experience in developing models using deep learning techniques and tools
• Experience in developing software within a distributed computation framework

What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis? As a Algorithm Team Lead, you will:

• Influence directly the way billions of people discover the internet
• Lead a team of professionals that will lead innovative solutions to new products in Taboola
• Be responsible for the entire machine learning life-cycle in the company: staying up to date with academic advancements, prototyping of new ideas, and implementing machine and deep learning based algorithms in a high scale production environment
• Be responsible for the career growth of employees in your team 
• Actively participate in the development process working closely with all stakeholders
• Get exposed to new technologies and utilize them to construct and improve scalable production-grade solutions that impact the business
• Be part of the algorithmic management team which is in charge of our growth and defining our development practices 
• Apply your scientific knowledge and creativity to analyze large volumes of diverse data and develop algorithms to solve complex problems

Our Tech Stack: Python, Keras, Java, TensorFlow, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, HDFS, ElasticSearch, AirFlow, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes and Docker
